Here at Life Port our Mission is ever present "Love God (through worship), Love God's Word (through obedience), and Love people (through action)". When people love they serve. Love; whatever it touches turns into gold. The labor of our service, if done with love, becomes simply rest. Its burden becomes joy. Its humiliation becomes glory. In Luke's gospel 22:27 Jesus emphatically says, "I am among you as one that serveth". Jesus took upon himself the form of a servant and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. The reason why when we love we serve is; because Jesus loved us, HE came as a servant. His love is a gift of self to the object of its love. Love is the gift of self, it is the giving of yourself.

At Life Port my vision is for us to serve knowing that people have something more than heads they have hearts also. That is why I want us to stretch ourselves to others, to our community, to our city and bring them to Jesus by our personal service and personal affections. Our service for God is never too extreme, it is never to enthusiastic. We must give of ourselves: 1 John 3:17 "If anyone has material posessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him; how can the love of God be in him?" Dear children; let us not love with words or tongue but with action and in truth. It is impossible to be too extreme, thus here at Life Port we work by the work of love, we work by the work of service. James 1:17.
